wondirful

I am working on promoting my fledgling tutoring service by listing myself at Tutors Teach and adding my contact info to answers I submit to Wondir.

Wondir is a great service and quite addicting once you start answering. I'm trying to train myself not to answer the obvious joke questions and go for the chemistry/math/science questions from actual students. The first step was filtering the categories and not trusting their email alert system. They supposedly have an instant messaging system through the site, but it has yet to work for me (I'll give it another go with java and javascript turned on and protowall turned off sometime).

Any tips on how to better market myself would be appreciated. My closing ratio is pretty low even though I've gotten a fair number of nibbles. Might be the nature of the beast. Lots of emails, few followups/followthroughs.

Anybody know of any other Wondir type sites? Google answers isn't hiring at the moment. That reminds me to go take a second look at the contracted work site from the other side.
